Michael Moreau is a 2x world record holder. After an over 20 year hiatus, he reinvigorated his love of swimming with his pursuit of open water events and challenges.

In October 2024, he completed the Molokai Channel swim, a 26.7 mile (43 km) deep ocean channel swim between the islands of Molokai and Oahu in Hawaii. Upon completion, his time was the 14th fastest in history.

In May 2025 in Hawaii, he broke into the record books for the furthest distance swimming wearing handcuffs. In September 2025, he set a new record for distance and became the first person in history to swim around the island of Manhattan in handcuffs.

Michael lives, works, and trains in New York City. Follow for more on Instagram or drop me a line below.
